Who was that guy? You remember... that bull robot that the MSM like Bloomberg, AP and Reuters used to quote all the time in support of an ever rising real estate market? I don't recall his name but in 2004, 2005, 2006... he was always on the job telling everyone about the health of the housing market. I think he was on the payroll of the National Association of Realtors if I remember correctly.
So when the pumpers in this article tell us that "The meat and potatoes of the housing recovery and the reason to get out and buy a house now is affordability. The tax credit right now is simply gravy on top of that." perhaps we can be excused for conjuring up thoughts of the pumper extraordinaire who helped sooth-say and enable millions of unqualified buyers into the housing Ponzi Scheme, circa 2002-2005 in which the dumbest of buyers were married up with the most unscrupulous of real estate professionals (incl. many appraisers, realtors and mortgage companies) in a racket destined to end with you and me (or more accurately, our children's children) footing the bill.
Now the pig quoted above wants a double dip. Just how dumb do they think the masses are? How dumb are the masses, anyway?
