It's the 70's again, as the media fan inherent and long semi-dormant fears about nuclear power. An argument can be made that the 'no nukes' movements of the 70's - I guess promoted by people who generally thought they were doing good - is directly responsible for all sorts of illness and disease (esp. in the form of auto immune triggers) as the N industry was all but mothballed in favor of more coal fired burners in the US and all those clouds of crap drifting east. You know what one of the elements that have been found in that soot? Yup, Uranium. Evidently it is present in coal formations.
Meanwhile, the newsletter is going to do what it always does and coldly look for financial opportunity in the hysteria of the moment. Wash-rinse-repeat cycles are spinning, but some of the hardware inside the machine has broken. So it is a decidedly warped spin cycle that has come off its axis.
Japan's situation is a terrible disaster. The state of the financial system is a terrible disaster (in denial for 2 years now). We are not here to get swept up in disasters and hyperbole, however. We are here to manage things as best we can as investors or better yet, financial survivors. In our private lives we can have very human concerns. But here, you had better be cold and calculating or you will get spun right out of the machine.
