I am having a personal thing today regarding a close family member. I will just say to love your loved ones fully and stay conscious in life. Love life, and don't get too far caught up in the abstractions the likes of which we deal with on this blog every day. It's just the markets and it's just a bunch of powerful clerks pretending they know what they are doing in trying to manage them.
Just wanted to pop up a quick post so you know I am not being rude but rather, am very distracted by something much more important to me than this.

Edit (5:39) Woo hoo!!! Happy birthday to ME! I won't go into details but the worst is averted and I cannot believe it. Thank you sincerely for your thoughts emailers and commenters. The part about loving life and being conscious still applies. This is a financial blog and we are going to keep perspective as best as possible within that context.
